Wapello Community Visioning – Design Workshop

The Wapello Hometown Pride Committee received a grant from Iowa Living Roadways and Trees Forever for Community Visioning.  A committee has been diligently working to gather input from community members on transportation issues and community betterment. We invite everyone to come to the Methodist Church in Wapello anytime between 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm on Thursday, June 28 to share ideas for community improvements at the Design Workshop. Transportation Workshop Wapello community members including those who live and work in Wapello are encouraged to attend to share their ideas for improving Wapello.  This workshop will be the culmination of an input-gathering process to identify transportation needs and opportunities for enhancements in Wapello.  A design team from Iowa State University will be onsite working with people to help develop a conceptual plan that meets the goals and needs of Wapello. Bake Sale and Crocheted Quilt Raffle

Join the Wapello Visioning Committee on Saturday, July 14 during Chief Wapello Days.  The group will be holding a bake sale and drawing the winning raffle ticket for the crocheted quilt during  intermission between "The Amazing Adventures of Willy the Wooly" puppet show and the "Family Magic Show." The Bake Sale is a free will donation.  Quilt raffle tickets are on sale for $5 each or $25 for 6 tickets.  Proceeds will go toward funding the new basketball court at the Wapello North End Park.
