Stuart is participating in the 2024 Community Visioning Program. Iowa State University is gathering information from community members to learn your opinions on how to improve the community’s landscape through transportation enhancements. The goal of this project is to develop a landscape plan that illustrates the vision of Stuart. Your input is an important part of this process and your ideas about community design and enhancement are valuable to the Stuart visioning committee.
Join us for a focus group
We want to find out which factors and conditions affect transportation use in Stuart, where these factors and conditions are most prevalent, and how they influence route and transportation choices locally. Because residents have the best knowledge of how Stuart’s transportation system works, we use focused, small-group conversations, mapping, and photos of the best and worst to understand local transportation. We will gather input from parents, youth, older adults, mobility-challenged individuals, active recreationalists, and the steering committee during a focus-group workshop on February 24, 2024 at West Central Valley High School, 3299 White Pole Roade, Stuart.
Group 1 – Parents: 9:00 – 10:00 am
Group 2 – Youth (8-12 years old): 9:00 – 10:00 am
Group 3 – Youth (13 and older): 9:00 – 10:00 am
Group 4 – Older Adults: 10:15 – 11:15 am
Group 5 – Mobility Challenged: 10:15 – 11:15 am
Group 6 – Active Recreationists: 11:30 am – 12:30 pm
Group 7 – Steering Committee: 11:30 am – 12:30 pm
The deadline to sign up is noon on Friday, February 23rd.
Adult Sign Up
Adults who want to participate in a focus group can sign up by clicking “Adult Sign Up” below. Because this is a research project, Iowa State is required to obtain digital written consent from participants, which is included in the sign-up process.
Youth Sign Up
Youth 17 years old or younger who want to participate in a focus group can sign up by clicking “Youth 17 & Younger Sign Up” below. To participate, youth must give digital written assent and their parents must give digital written parental consent. Assent and parental consent are included in the sign-up process.
