Members of the Aplington Visioning committee will join nearly 200 other Iowans at the Iowa’s Living Roadways Annual Celebration in Ames on November 3rd.

During this daylong event, the transportation enhancement plans developed for Aplington will be on display, along with those of the other nine 2022 visioning communities. Aplington committee members will also take part in several workshops and panel discussions related to successful project implementation.

The 2022 Community Visioning volunteers will have the opportunity to meet participants in other Iowa’s Living Roadways programs, including the Projects and Trails programs, along with program partners and sponsors. In addition, local volunteers from the 2023  visioning communities will be in attendance to kick off their visioning process.

Having completed the visioning planning process, the Aplington visioning committee is ready to start building projects. Those interested in becoming involved with project implementation should contact  Lindsay Wolff, Aplington visioning committee chair, at 319-480-3279  or Patty Reisinger, Trees Forever field coordinator, at 319-350-4185.

The Iowa’s Living Roadways Community Visioning Program is sponsored by the Iowa Department of Transportation in partnership with Iowa State University Extension Landscape Architecture and Trees Forever.
