Colo Community Visioning NewsColo assessment process under wayColo is currently in the assessment phase of the community visioning process. On Saturday, March 24, focus group workshops were held at City Hall to better understand the transportation needs and opportunities. The following weekend residents had the opportunity to identify positive and negative views in town, as well as places that are special to the community. This year, we are providing focus group participants and visual quality assessment participants with GPS-enabled digital cameras, so they can go out into the community and photograph significant sites. At the end of the workshop, the photographs were uploaded to an online map of the community. Participants were able to see the locations of the barriers and opportunities and positive and negative views that they identified, as well as those identified by other participants.
